Deposit Guide for eDDA

  1. What is eDDA

eDDA Quick Deposit is a fast deposit method based on "FPS" (Faster Payment System). FPS is an instant payment platform launched by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA). Customers can initiate deposits directly on HashKey Exchange, with funds transferred from their authorized bank accounts into their fiat account on HashKey Exchange, after applying for eDDA Service and completing the bank account authorization.

  1. Authorization and Deposit Guide

Step 1: Click "Deposit"--"Fiat Deposit" on Homepage, or click "Assets"--"Fiat Account"--"HKD Deposit"

Step 2: Click "eDDA deposit"--"Next"

Step 3: Provide your bank details to complete the authorization:
  • Bank Name (select from drop down list, please ensure the bankcode is correct)
  • Account Number
  • Account Name (exactly match the registered name of your bank account)
  • ID Type (ID used for bank account opening)
  • ID Number (ID used for bank account opening)
 
Two Options to Proceed:
(1) Authorize & Deposit
Enter deposit amount → Click "Go to Deposit" (completes both steps).
(2) Authorize Only
Leave deposit field blank → Click "Authorize Now" (deposit can be done later).

Step 4: Subsequent deposit
  • Follow step 1&2 and go to eDDA deposit page, select the authorized bank account and input the deposit amount, click “Go to deposit”
  • If you want to add another bank account via eDDA, click "Deposit using other accounts" and follow step 3 to complete the authorization and deposit.

  1. Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How long does it take for eDDA authorization and deposit?
  • Normally it takes a few minutes to 5 working days for eDDA authorization, depending on your selected bank
  • Normally it takes a few minutes for the deposit to be credited to your account via eDDA, please ensure you have sufficient balance in your bank account
  1. Why does my eDDA authorization fail?
  • Name order mismatch: please ensure the order of your first name and last name matches the record in your bank. You can edit the default name displayed on the eDDA deposit page.
  • Wrong ID type & number: please input the ID type and number used for the bank account opening. You can change the default provided ID type & number on the eDDA deposit page.
  1. How should I input my HKID number in "ID No."?
If your HKID is A123456(1), please input A1234561.
  1. Why do I need to deposit a minimum of 10,000 HKD for eDDA authorization & deposit?
For bank account that is newly added to HashKey, a minimum of 10,000 HKD is required as per regulation. This does not apply to bank account that's previously added to HashKey.
