Guidance of account opening on HashKey Exchange using a Chinese passport

HashKey Exchange is a compliance exchange licensed in Hong Kong. To ensure compliance operation of the platform, we only support Chinese users residing in non-Chinese mainland areas to register accounts with us. Therefore, you should also hold overseas ID with long-term residence attributes such as resident identity cards, permanent resident visas, residence permits, work visas, student visas, and business visas in non-Chinese mainland areas.

Steps 6, 7, 8, and 10 are common mistakes made by most users. Please pay close attention to them.

1. Prepare your original Chinese passport, overseas ID, and proof of address.

2. Go to the personal center for verification.

3. Start Identity Verification

4. Confirm whether you have a bank account in the following countries/regions.

Note: If you do not have a bank account in the following countries/regions, you can select "Account Opening in Hong Kong office" in the following steps.

5. Before processing Identity Verification, please read the relevant requirements carefully.

6. Chinese passport authentication

Please select "China" for "Nationality" and "Passport" for "Document Type". You can choose to operate on your mobile or web side.

Note: When taking photos of the passport, the personal information page of the passport page cannot be covered in any way. Please do not press your fingers or other items on the four corners of the passport page.

7. Check and complete basic information

14. After submission, please wait for review. During this period, please pay attention to your registered email with us, and you may be contacted by our Customer Service Team for further clarification

15. After the review is passed, relevant evaluations will be conducted.

16. Fiat Deposit Verification

For the first transfer, the received amount shall not be less than 10000 HKD or its equivalent in USD.

Because of bank transaction fees, we suggest that you transfer an amount greater than 10000 HKD and reserve sufficient transaction fees.

If you are unable to complete the transfer, please choose offline authentication.

After making an appointment, bring the relevant original documents such as the documents and address proof used in the authentication process to the HashKey Exchange Hong Kong office, and relevant staff will handle your offline account opening application.
