How to deposit virtual assets into the HashKey Exchange using MetaMask?

This article is only applicable to HashKey Exchange HK Station.

  1. Installing MetaMask Wallet (If you've already installed, please skip this step.)

Kindly remind that this installation tutorial is for reference only. Please visit the MetaMask official website https://metamask.io/ for all relevant information and installation instructions. Do not click on irrelevant links to avoid damaging your asset security. Mnemonic words are very important. Please ensure that your mnemonic words are recorded and properly stored. If the mnemonic words are lost, the asset cannot be retrieved.

  1. Installation tutorial on PC

Go to metamask.io \ Chrome Web Store or Firefox Plugin Store to download MetaMask：
Click【Add to Chrome】；
Click [Add exetension]；
Select [Create new wallet].（If you already have a wallet, select [Import an Existing Wallet] and access your assets using mnemonic words or private keys, and you can skip the next steps.）；
Create your own password, then click [Create new wallet].
Select [Secure my wallet (recommended)]；
Click [Reveal Secret Recovery Phase] to see your mnemonic words and record it in a secure place.
After passing the mnemonic word test, the wallet is created successfully.

  1. Installation tutorial on Mobile

Download the MetaMask App using the App Store or Google Play.

  1. Confirm that you want to recharge your virtual assets on the HashKey Exchange.

      1) If there are corresponding wallet addresses for assets and networks, ensure that the account assets are sufficient to recharge.
      2) If there are no corresponding wallet addresses for assets and networks, please create relevant wallet addresses.

  1. Transfer Process on MetaMask Wallet

  1. Select whitelist verification method on HashKey Exchange. (If the wallet address has been added to the whitelist, please skip this step.)

  1. Verify with 'Specify Amount Deposit'（Recommended）

Log in to your HashKey Exchange account and select [Digital Currency Deposit] from the [Deposit] dropdown menu.
After entering the [Deposit] page, select the virtual assets you want to deposit and the corresponding network. Select personal wallet as the source of address.
Choose [New Address Deposit] as the deposit method, you need to add your personal address in Deposit Whitelist through 'Specify Amount Deposit',
1) Fill in the deposit amount and click [Confirm];
2) The system will automatically calculate a specific verification amount, and you need to confirm the deposit amount on the Pop-up page and click [Confirm];
3) Click [Copy] or scan the QR code with your personal wallet App on the page to obtain the deposit target address for subsequent deposit and transfer operations . Note that the deposit amount must be strictly in accordance with the amount specified in the interface;

  1. Signature Verification

Select the MetaMask authentication method in the whitelist for recharging and withdrawal, click [Connect MetaMask], the system will display the wallet connection interface. Please confirm the wallet address that requires authentication, click [Next], and then click [Connect].
（*Withdrawal whitelist signature authentication method refers to recharge whitelist）
Click [Sign] after connecting；
After completing security authentication, the address will be added to the whitelist. After that, you can select the address for deposit or withdrawal without having to perform a new authentication.

  1. Enter your HashKey Exchange deposit address into MetaMask (Please confirm the asset type and network again)

Option 1: scan the QR code on the HashKey Exchange deposit page.
Click the scanner button in the upper right corner and scan the QR code displayed on the HashKey Exchange deposit page. After that, check to see if the deposit address obtained after scanning matches the address on the page. If it matches, it means that the address was successfully obtained.
 
Option 2: Copy and paste the deposit address from HashKey Exchange to MetaMask.
Select the Crypto that matches the HashKey Exchange Deposit page → select 【 Send 】 → and enter the Deposit address copied from the HashKey Exchange Deposit page;
